Poem for Today


This Is Just To Say

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

    I think I remember reading that one in high school and thinking it was dumb. 15 years later it is simply delightful.

    We just made brandy spiced plums. yum.
