Which tells the story of our town’s history better: A pair of glasses or a license plate? A projector or a bottle of beer? Visit a place where remembering is a communal act, and everyone’s opinion is heard and counted: Beertown. Part-civic ceremony, part-theatrical pageant, dog & pony dc’s Beertown actively explores the dynamic and tenuous relationship between individuals and their community. Beertown received a Helen Hayes nomination for the Charles MacArthur Outstanding New Play or Musical Award! Beertown is “so gently satiric and utterly involving that you’ll find yourself voting for and against issues before you even realize you’ve raised your hand.” – Washington Post.
The performance begins with a dessert potluck; please bring a dessert to share.

Rehearsals and performances have been consuming my time recently, so in an effort to feel validated  (an also because it is a kick-butt show) I urge you, my friends, if you are in the DC metro area then buy a ticket and come and see BEERTOWN. This summer we are performing it as part of the Capital Fringe Festival and for more information you can check out the dog and pony dc website. This will most likely be my last show for a while (having twins can have quite an impact on one's stage career, no?) and if this run is anything like the last tickets will see out quickly. So come see it! Buy your tickets now! Support good art! Oh, and there is a dessert potluck buffet, which would be what would really convince me to come see the show.

Hope to see you there.
