i totally have days like this - and i think we have to be compassionate with ourselves and have reasonable expectations. on the other hand, i have days where i am super-productive and those are the times i feel like trumpeting my success from the rooftop and organizing a little awards ceremony for myself. there really should be mommy awards, don't you think? for those days when you DO get the laundry done, play educational games with your child, finish a creative project, workout, cook dinner, and bring homemade chicken soup over to the sick neighbor. without having a nervous breakdown.
